Nautique Sponsored IWWF Wakefest Hong Kong 2024 Recorded Highest Number of Participants
The IWWF Wakefest Hong Kong 2024, sponsored by Nautique Boats, took place at Taipo Waterfront Park from 5th to 7th July. Showcasing the skills and talents of local and international athletes from Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Korea, Japan, and Malaysia, the event once again proved to be a resounding success with a record breaking of participant number of 178 athletes this year.
This year’s Wakefest Hong Kong attracted a significant number of international riders, with one-third of the athletes traveling from overseas to compete. Team Chinese Taipei took home the Team Champion for the second consecutive year, demonstrating their exceptional prowess and unwavering team spirit.
The event also saw a notable increase in the number of U18 athletes, highlighting the growing appeal and participation of young talents in wakesports. Nautique Boats is committed to supporting and nurturing the next generation of wakesports athletes, ensuring the vibrant future of the sport in the region.
The 1st IWWF World Wakesurf Championships will take place at the same venue from 2nd to 10th November this year.
